Baha'i Facebook Application for Ruhi
We are in the process of spec'ing and developing an application to assist with the coordination of Ruhi classes. As every Ruhi coordinator knows, it can be a challenge to recruit people to attend a particular course, arrange where a course will be held and maintain a communication channel with participants. We would like to build an application on Facebook to assist with some of these tasks.
Upon installing the application on Facebook, the application will request the user's location, Ruhi history and interest in future books. Once installed, the application will display this information along with the info of everyone else with the application on a filterable map to provide all subscribers the information needed to determine how to best fill classes and a means of inviting people to form new classes through the app. As courses proceed, information about the progress of the courses, the assignments of memorization, virtual discussion between the members and the tracking of the practice exercises would be facilitated through the app.
The project can be found at http://www.codeplex.com/Collaborator. We are quite excited about it but may be able to use more assistance to bring it to life. Please contact us if you are interested in helping

Future Project Ideas
There are several ideas that are floating for projects that could have a high impact on the Baha'i community. Some of the ideas are listed below.
A Central Database of Baha'i Quotations
The idea is to create a web database of Baha'i Quotations to serve as a central location on the Internet of quotations from the Baha'i Writings. Once a database is created, we are thinking to harness collective intelligence to allow users to tag quotations on subjects, events, source, references (flicker style) so that later a user can query for quotations on a particular topic.
Once a tagged database of quotations exists, it should be fairly easy create services that leverage the tagged quotes to create Develotional Program Generators, Daily RSS feeds and serve as a platform for other sites seeking quotations.
A Database of Baha'i Events
Every community has issues with scheduling events and getting people to them. We would like to create a central worldwide database of Baha'i events that are taking place to increase the transparency of events and serve as a central location that any Baha'i in the world can find out what events they can attend in a particular community.
The front-end for the database would be both a web 2.0 calendar and map that can be filtered according to your location and type of event. The front-end for inserting/removing/managing items in the database would be a website which might have tie-ins to social networking sites.
Application to Assist with Memorizing of Quotations
The idea of this application is to use games to make it easier to memorize Baha'i quotations.
http://www.imemorize.org/ is experimenting with this idea.
